**Caution! Spoiler Ahead!!**
Yo, it’s time to movie review! Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen! Watch this movie last Saturday, my birthday, with my girlfriend after our dinner. One thing I must mention, this movie had been blowing up GSC website last week since Tuesday! I can’t purchase the tickets online because GSC website was crowded and they have to switch to a temporary site which have very simple interface in order to speed up user’s loading time. But still the E-payment ticketing was not functioning. Sweat~ I was forced to go Gurney Plaza to purchase the tickets. Another ridiculous thing was, Premier Class was sold out! But those normal class still have seats available, so I got the couple seat in Cinema 8 at 11.55pm.
That night (perhaps since the first day the movie screening), GSC was packed with bunches of people! GSC even open all 12 halls for Transformers only! You can’t see other movie screening that night! Unbelievable. There were many “lala” or we call them “seafood” there @.@
Phew~ Okay, let’s watch the trailer first..
Very nice trailer, visual effects, fighting scenes, CGI all were awesome! But the storyline was kind of lame. As we can recall, the first episodes talks about all sparks and the awaken of Megatron, this movie was almost the same. Just there was another new source of energy called Matrix, something like that. And another bad guy named the Fallen.
The Fallen was one of the Primes and was turn into bad so the other Primes banish him, he was badly injured and guess what, he was hiding in planet Pluto =.=” reminds me about Power Rangers where the bad guys live on the moon. They sacrifice themselves and hide the Key with their bodies. Leaving Optimus Prime as the last descendant of Prime. But then he was killed in the middle of movie while fighting with the Decepticons trying to save Sam. I knew that in the end Optimus must somehow reveal to life with that new energy and I was correct.
As for the all sparks, there was still little pieces which left on Sam’s cloak, he picked it up and the all sparks planted something into his eyes, make him see weird symbols. And then they use this pieces of all sparks to reactivate an old Transformer from Decepticon but turns into good guy named JetFire. Teleport Sam’s and few main characters to Egypt =.=” and gave them a hint where the Key of Matrix were hidden. Then Sam suddenly figure out the key was at the Great Pyramids in Giza. When they were there, the twin Autobots (Skids & Mudflap) suddenly have a fight and Sam accidentally found this key because while they were fighting they broken the wall somehow (lame) =.=” Then the key turns into dust somehow =.=” The Decepticons wanted that key too in order to reactivate the super weapon hide inside the pyramid, which is a weapon used to destroy the Sun =.=” because the Fallen hates human and he wanted to destroy human race.

Then there was this final great war fighting in the middle of desert. In the trailer where you saw those big big Decepticons who named Devastator (the vacuum cleaner :P) was finished off by human navy’s gun, easily settled =.=” Oh ya, this vacuum cleaner, sorry it’s Devastator, was formed by many many Decepticons (Scavenger + Scrapper + Hightower + Longhaul + Rampage + Overload + Mixmaster), reminds me about Power Rangers again =.=” And the Demolishor where in the beginning of movie destroying Shanghai, was easily settled by Optimus Prime too =.=” Clearly, BIG is not equal to KENG!! The fight in Shanghai was pointless, just wanted to please Chinese =.=”

Finally, Sam was nearly killed by Megatron, then while his spirit was ‘away’ of his body (I guess..), he saw those dead and good Primes (ancestors of Optimus Prime) who thank him and told him that only courage or something like that, can get the key. So he somehow woke up and the dust turns back into the key and he inserted it into Optimus’s chest so Optimus was alive again! Yay!! =.=” Then the old FireJet sacrifice himself to offer Optimus his parts because Optimus was badly injured and can’t stop the Fallen because he get the key and was activating the super weapon. So we have FireJet Optimus!!

Obviously, Optimus become very keng after the combination, and he settled the Fallen, Megatron, and blast the super weapon with one bullet and it was destroyed. The Fallen was dead, and Megatron was only injured, so Starscream ask him to flee and so he did, here goes the start of Transformers 3 =.=”
Overall, the movie was great. The CGI effects, fighting scenes was very yeng! Especially when there was a scene where Ravage put all the little small metal balls through the air tunnel into the place where the army guarding the pieces of all spark. Those metal balls were transform into tiny robot and was then combined became a small robot to steal the all spark! Impressive CGI effects!!
However, I prefer the first episode. Because in my opinion, this time there were some overused hot girls, explosions, and visual effects. And it doesn’t make sense when the Decepticons can transform into human!! Ridiculous, there were no such thing in the anime. But there was no doubt that Megan Fox was damn hot!
Besides, it was very commercial as you can see LG handphone all the time!! They must be pay a lot for that =.=” This movie contain all the factors of a commercial movie have: commercial products(LG), hot girls, visual effects, CGI effects, explosions, and comedy. These are all the factors that most of the Malaysians love~~ I heard my friend said before that what she expecting in a nice movie were just fighting and visual effects. If the movie have too much of talking and less fighting scenes then it is a bad movie! Shallow.. Forgive me if I offended you. Actually it is okay to have all these factors in a movie because you know, they need to earn money either, but overused of these things makes me sick. The jokes were too much and pointless (especially when Sam’s mother ki siao at his college).
I rate this movie 7/10. The 7 marks were all JUST for the visual effects and CGI effects because it was really done extremely well. 3 marks taken because of all the criticize I’ve mentioned in the previous paragraphs. I just hope that Transformers 3 can have both visual effects and creative or nice storyline. LESS COMMERCIAL PLEASE!
