**Caution! Spoiler Ahead!!**
Well, here’s another movie’s review. lolz. Really watched a lot of movies lately. Next week will be Terminator Salvation!! Haha.
Guess what, I watched this movie with my girlfriend again in Gurney Plaza.
Trailer..
Since I’m lazy to tell the story on my own, I decided to copy the synopsis from IMDB movies database 😛
When the Museum of Natural History is closed for upgrades and renovations, the museum pieces are moved into federal storage at the famous Washington Museums. The centerpiece of the film will be bringing to life the Smithsonian Institution, which houses the world’s largest museum complex with more than 136 million items in its collections, ranging from the plane Amelia Earhart (Amy Adams) flew on her non-stop solo flight across the Atlantic and Al Capone’s (Jon Bernthal) rap sheet and mug shot to Dorothy’s ruby slippers, Fonzie’s jacket from Happy Days, the still from M*A*S*H and Archie Bunker’s lounge chair from All in the Family. With a forwarded resume, Larry (Ben Stiller) becomes another caretaker at the Smithsonian, where Kahmunrah, an evil Pharaoh will come to life with the reestablishing of a tablet as a magical force in the museum bringing the old exhibits (Such as Theodore Roosevelt and Dexter) and new exhibits (like General Custer and Al Capone) back to life, and in conflict with each other. Larry enlists the help of Amelia Earheart, who he develops a romantic interest in, and together they try to put everything back in order.
If you watched the first movie, the same characters in the first movie were brought forward to this one too. The skeleton T-Rex, small tiny cowboy and Rome’s soldiers, the dum dum statue, the naughty monkey, the Robin Williams aka Teddy Roosevelt statue and etc. This time, there were much more characters joined in.
Those who caught my attentions were Lord Vadar from Star Wars, Emo from Sesame Street, three cute singing perfect harmony cupids, and cute cute little shaky head Einstein. lolz.
The three little cupids was so cute and funny. There was a scene where Larry kiss Amelia and three of them appeared out of no where start singing Titanic theme song, My Heart Will Go On. lolz.
Then there were this small little cowboy and Rome’s soldiers who joined the fight. Their enemies they fighting with were all normal human size. So when they started fighting, there was this dramatic background music, slow motion effects that makes their fight looks really epic! But then when the camera zoom out, their gigantic enemies were just streaming “Ouch!” cause their feet were attacked! lolz
This thinker was very funny too. Difficult to describe his funny act. Guess you guys have to find out in cinema 😛
And as you can see from the trailer, the argument between Larry and the security guard “Brundon” was hilarious too!
One more thing that I nearly missed out! After you watched this movie, you will know when and why cellphone was invented! The history of Motorola!! haha!
Well overall this movie was okay. It was hilarious but the storyline was normal. It was funnier than the first movie, but the storyline of the first movie was better though. You know, what do you expect from a comedy? lolz. You should thank god that the movie wasn’t something like those stupid Scary Movie, Superhero Movie series. haha.
I rate this movie 7/10. A very relaxing and stress release movie, worth a laugh ^^
