Wahahaha!! Sorry for the late post.. Been kind of lazy after I get my iPhone 3GS!! Spend more time on my iPhone nowadays π
I know some of you already waited for very long time especially Apple, and Etee, they said that they’re going to link from their blog to mine because they’re lazy to blog =.=”
It was 14th September 2009, that was the Bali Day!! After one month plus I worked in Gizwiz, I get to join their trip to the Bali Island for five days!! Extremely excited!! YoHoo! We have six person traveling together. On 14th Septemper 8am, we gather at Penang airport and took flight to Kuala Lumpur LCCT airport. While we were checking in at LCCT airport, we realise that Andrew’s passport was expired!!! We didn’t know that the passport was not usable 6 months before it due! Thundershock.. Andrew unable to join us to Bali at the first day. He was forced to enjoy his Bali-Peng at Seremban, Kuala Lumpur and renew his passport there. Then join us on the next day. Poor thing.. Think positively, this could became a memorable trip for Andrew π Anyway, five of us manage to get on the flight and we were heading to BALI!!
Air Asia services was okay. However, it was little bit scary for me because we were taking long distance flight which took 4 hours before arrived at Bali, but the plane they used was small plane which were same as internal flight in Malaysia! I thought they have a bigger and more stable plane for long distance flight =.=” But still, we arrived safely at Bali at around 8pm. Denpasar airport was small and old. They already have many traditional decorations at the airport but Penang airport actually prettier than theirs. We took some tourist leaflets at the airport..
The one thing that we couldn’t get use to at Bali was their currency value!! I took my RM1000 to change into Rupiah and I got 2.8 millions!! Before I actually saw the money I thought I have to travel with those money in a suitcase like in the movie with all cash keeping neatly inside π We became millionaire at Bali! When we decided to took taxi from the airport to our hotel, we paid Rp90,000 (RM32.29) for two cabs. I was shocked at first because I thought it was expensive, after I convert into Ringgit Malaysia with my new iPhone 3GS applications (not trying to show off please don’t be sensitive :P) then it was actually quite cheap.
Hotel
During this five days trip, we stayed at two hotels. Holiday Inn Resort located at Kuta, and Le Meridien Nirwana Golf and Spa Resort located at Tanah Lot. Both were 5 stars hotel!! We stay at Holiday Inn Resort for the first 2 nights and then changed to Le Meridien for the next following nights.
Holiday Inn Resort
We were impressed by their services when we first arrived Holiday Inn Resort. The bellboy brought us a wet tower, and a glass of lemon juice at the lobby while we were checking in. And the interior of the hotel… picture tells million words..
The balcony of our room were so so so comfortable, there was a nice comfortable sofa at the balcony, although our room doesn’t have great view, but still, the sofa was like a magic sofa, once you lye on it you doesn’t want to do anything except SLEEP on it!!
Le Meridien Nirwana Golf and Spa Resort
Our second hotel was Le Meridien Nirwana Golf and Spa Resort. This hotel was HUGE!! There was a distance between the guard house and the lobby! Our driver told us, the first them he went there he got lost and he can’t found the lobby! It was really huge as they have golf field in the resort! This hotel have different style compare to Holiday Inn. Holiday Inn use card key for the room and this hotel, was more tradition because they used key, and their decoration was more classic too! However, the view, was INCREDIBLE! It was huge!! There was a louche bar where a perfect singer singing oldish songs and Jazz songs during the night, they have snooker, wii, and indoor golf to play. So comfortable spend time in this hotel. I have a video for this..
Photos of Le Meridien Nirwana Golf and Spa Resort..
Too bad we don’t have enough time to enjoy all their facilities. Our driver told us we need at least a day to enjoy all the facilities in the resort. I WILL COME BACK HERE NEXT TIME!!
However this hotel was far away from the town area, took us about 45 minutes to get back here. But it was definitely worth it! When we came back to the hotel by taxi, the taxi driver took us to a dark alley and he told us that place was mysterious! By meaning, GHOST! Haha, Jasmine was freak out when she heard that. It cost us Rp160,000 and when I wanted to pay him, I was confused with Rp100,000 and Rp10,000 because both were red in color! So the driver asked me “what do you mean?” with the unhappy tone. So embarrassing and I have to explain that I can’t get use to Rupiah yet π
to be continue… Next post – Places we went!
