Party at L’Opera

It was my third and last day in my KL trip, before I came back to Penang, we decided to celebrate Qian Qian and Foo’s birthday at this L’Opera Italian restaurant. It was, erm, probably can consider as a surprise party for them, because they didn’t know in the beginning. (or they already did but we don’t know? hmm..)

Before I start, there’s something I need to say. Mr. Zing Chuang! It was his idea to go back KL to celebrate Qian Qian’s birthday with her. When we were holding mine and Mr. Zing’s birthday, he was touched and he felt that he must have repay our friends something, which he decided to go back KL purposely to celebrate her birthday. But then in the end, he decided to give up after he knew that I’m not driving to KL, because he wanted to go Ikea buy some furniture and need me to help him fetch all his furniture back to Penang, I thought he said he will give Qian her present personally, but end up sharing the present with us =.=” I’m sure he got something to say after he read this.. lolz

Okay, back to the party, again this wasn’t our first choice. Originally I found Tony Roma’s online and decided to go there. However, we realized that it was too expensive and some of us couldn’t afford it, so my girlfriend simply found this restaurant. It was located at Jalan Bukit Bintang, between Lot 10 and Pavilion. It was actually a restaurant inside a hotel, but then we knew that they have set lunch which are quite affordable (RM15, RM25, RM35), so we decided to go there. It wasn’t easy to find a nice and affordable restaurant @.@

That morning, me and my girlfriend went to Genting Klang to get their birthday cake first, and then we drove to Titiwangsa monorial station and took monorial to Bukit Bintang because we were afraid of traffic jam. Then we met Sean and Sing Hui at monorial station. When we were there, the restaurant was empty! No other customers except us, we were joking that we book the whole restaurant! Haha.. After awhile, the others join us. The interior of the restaurant..

And then, the day before the party, we went to buy their birthday cards, and all her classmates wrote their wishes in the restaurant on spot without the birthday boy and girl acknowledgment..

After everyone settle down, it’s time to order food! It was tricky, as there were so many of us (15 people), if everyone order the cheapest set lunch which is RM15, it would be boring if everyone eating the same food, so we decided to order 2 sets RM35 set lunch which are the Chicken Pasta served with soup, RM40 Lamb Leg with Rosemary and 2 large Pizza!

Other than those Pizzas, the other food wasn’t enough! 15 people sharing 3 sets of set lunch which were only for 1 pax, pity huh? =.=” So everybody were paiseh lai, paiseh ki, here eat little bit then leave it for the others, I pass you this you pass me that.. lolz.. However we still enjoy ourselves la 😛 But the food can’t satisfied me, so I order another RM15 set lunch individually, share with my girlfriend

Beverages we have Chin Lun and his girlfriend’s Cow Boy milkshake, and me and my girlfriend’s Melon Paradise.. The others I didn’t take photo sorry 😛

Okay, after everyone were full, it’s time for party! The cake!! Pretty, Special and Saving!! Chocolate Tiramisu + Mango flavour!!

As for their presents, my girlfriend already planed with her classmates, and decided to buy them more realistic birthday presents, Gift Voucher!! MNG Gift Voucher for Qian, and TGI Friday Gift Voucher for Foo

After the party, I have to leave as I have to go back to Penang on 5.30pm bus, before that, I headed to Times Square to buy Krispy Kream Doughnuts! Recommended by Jasmine!! According to her, this is the world famous doughnut and it doesn’t sell in Penang yet. She was shocked when I told her I’ve never heard before, did you? 😛
I bought one dozen, 5 for my family, another 7 for colleagues, Andrew and Jasmine at Gizwiz Studio.. And another extra 2 for me and my girlfriend.. Sadly, I forgot to take photo, and when I remember it was only 2 left 😛

Tasted good!! As the name said, Krispy Kream, it was really crispy and there were cream inside the doughnuts!! However, one turn down which is – way too sweet!!

Message for Foo: “dai gor zai lor” 21 years old already, fast fast get your girl and get married! Wish your dream come true!
Message for Qian: wei! 22 years old liao, old liao, hor mia eh already become mummy liao.. mai siao siao or blur blur liao! lolz.. Wish you get very good result in your final!
