**Caution! Spoiler Ahead!!**
FINALLY!! I get chance to watch this movie. Couldn’t find anyone to watch with me, and my girlfriend watched before at KL with her coursemates already. However, she willing to accompany me to watch again this movie ^^ So we went to watch at Queensbay Mall on Wednesday night, RM6. haha..
Before I start, there’s something that I want to clear out first. There was a friend of mine, who read my blog before and asked me why is it all about movies in my blog. Well, this is because there’s not much interesting “adventures” in my life now that worth blogging about, so to prevent my blog growing mushrooms and spiderweb at least I wrote something about movies I watched ð Is that reasonable? hmm.. Well if you feel my blog is bored and nothing interesting then I apologize about that ð
Anyway, this is the trailer..
Well I guess most people watched X Men I, II, III before. This is not X Men IV, it’s the story before any X Men I, II, III previously have ever happened. In this case, it’s Wolverine’s story. How he ended have metals all over his skeleton, how he lost his memories and all of that. Actually I don’t like Wolverine when I was a kid watching X Men cartoon. I feels that his power was useless and so not cool, just a macho man with claws, plus his costume was gay!! Luckily they didn’t use that costume in the movie series! My favorite X Men character is Storm, but she’s not in this movie. I love her power, I feels that she’s very cool especially when her eyes turns to white! Well talks about X Men cartoon do bring up some childhood memories. But I wasn’t really a fan of X Men, just watched it sometimes when I was a kid. Didn’t really understand the story and follow the story, just simply watch the action and powers and fighting. Kids.. lolz.. So I found this cartoon opening theme song on youtube! haha..
After I watched this clip, now only I realize Gambit was on it too ð I’ve totally forgotten about him. He, however, is in this movie. In the movie he was so cool! Controlling the poker cards to attack people and creating forces, but I’m not really sure what his power really do. Hmm..
The story in this movie, begun when wolverine was a kid. He always fell sick and he have a brother name victor. That night, he saw this man killed his father, he was furious and that was the first time his skeleton claws (not metal knife-like claws) growing out from his hands. Then he killed that man and realize that the man he killed was actually his biological father. Then his brother victor brought him running out from the house and they started to live by their own. After they grew up, they joined the military. Victor was changing into a bad person, try to kill innocent people and rape innocent women. When his officer tried to stop him, he killed him accidentally. Then they were captured and was punished to shoot to death. But it was failed as both of them have healing powers. Then they were asked to join a special group that formed by the government with all mutants. They were tried to find something, without caring innocent’s people life. They killed if they have to. So, Wolverine doesn’t like this and leave this group.
Years later, Wolverine met his love ones and live as normal person, cutting down trees as a job. But then the government want him back. They wanted him to volunteer himself for their experiment. So, sending Victor to kill his girlfriend, and then told him that this experiment can make him even stronger so that he can have his revenge. This experiment was inserting this strongest metal from outer space call adamantium into his skeleton. After the experiment success, he heard that they wanted to wipe out his memory. So he was so angry and run away from the lab to find Victor to have his revenge. While he was trying to track down Victor, he realized that Victor was still working with the government and killing his girlfriend was a plot to trick him to volunteer himself in the experiment. He also finds out that the government was capturing all the teenage mutants in an island, including the teenage Cyclops. Gambit was one of them, but he manage to escape. So he went to find him and want him bring him to the island.
When he was on the island, he found out that his girlfriend was alive. She’s a mutant too. Her power is can tell people to do whatever she told them to by touching them. Wolverine was so sad and feels he was cheated. But then she told him that her love towards him was true and she was forced to work with the government because her sister was captured by them. Her sister’s power is cool! She can changed her skin into diamonds and blocked bullets! WOW!
In the end, Wolverine rescued all the captured mutants from their cage, and Professor Xavier came to help rescued them away with a helicopter. Then, Wolverine realized that the purpose they captured all mutants is to take a sample from them and combined all their powers into one mutant and controlled him. This mutant was strong and has lost his conscious. Wolverine alone can’t defeat him, so Victor came and help. Finally they defeated him. But the bad guy use a adamantium bullet gun to shoot him in his head. This doesn’t killed him cause he can heal, but cause him to lost all his memories. I don’t know why is this but this is what they explained in the movie @.@
Well overall this movie is good. Probably the best movie yet in 2009. I’m sure there will be better movie coming on soon, if u know which movie I meant ð
But there’s something that doesn’t make sense. If you guys still remember, in X Men II, it mentioned about Wolverine’s history but there’s something different. In X Men II, when he met the guy that created him, he said that he gave him the claws. Which means before the experiment he has no claws at all. From what I remembered, I know that Wolverine doesn’t have claws before the experiment too.
Weird.. Maybe thet changed the story a bit. Most likely is.
Still, I rate this movie 8/10, one of the must watch movie ð
